“You are more precious than Rubies.” Proverbs 31:10

I still remember my mom-mom taking me to the Clinique counter when I was 9 years old. I felt like a princess applying my "rouge" as she called it. It was love at first sight, I was hooked. 10 years following, in 2004, my journey with MAC cosmetics began where I became a professional licensed artist- yup I actually quit nursing school to follow my heart. After becoming advanced certified, I moved to Tampa, Florida to take on a new challenge as Operations Manager for MAC at International Plaza. Pursuing my dreams in 2009, I took on the big apple, New York City, where I opened the Shu Uemura Counter in the flagship store Bloomingdales on 59th Street. I was trained under the lead master artists of the Shu Uemura brand and embraced my new city life living in Chelsea. Over the past 14 years (I swear I'm on my third 29th birthday lol), I have also had the honor of working as Store Manager for Bare Escentuals, ULTA Prestige Beauty Manager, Macy’s Cosmetic Department Manager and finished my retail highlight as Territory Manager for Laura Mercier for MD/DC/VA. My work has been featured on The Cooking Channel, Wedding Lovely, Tidewater and Tulle, and Hill City Bride, and Virginia This Morning. My most memorable day of 2018 was working with GUESS and Calvin Klein supermodel Danielle Knudson. I have also had the honor of working with Lisa Martinaglia, South African supermodel.

October 16, 2015 was the happiest day of my life!! I married my prince charming, Kyle, and our lives journeyed to our new home here, in Richmond, Virginia. I'm a dog mom to our sweet baby girl Lilly, and if I ever win the lottery- dream of opening an animal rescue. I could eat sushi everyday, all day, while watching my 90s jam “Clueless” quoting it in my sleep. Hawaii is our favorite vaca spot, and we love to travel! Growing up I wanted to be a dentist, my Dad said he would rather go to jail (than go to the dentist) lol. Kyle has been my biggest supporter and truly gave me the confidence to start my own company 3 years ago. I never stopped dreaming and here I am, beyond blessed! I am so extremely grateful to God for giving me the ability to help women feel beautiful, confident and unique. I am thankful for each and every one of you!

Shasta Hypes

“Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.” -Coco Chanel

“In my early 20’s, I decided to turn my passion into a business. I started out doing makeup for friends and family members before branching off to work with brides and bridal parties. I remember getting into my car after finishing my first wedding and feeling incredibly overjoyed and proud. It felt great to know everyone was going to walk down the aisle feeling happy, confident and looking radiant. It felt like everything had fallen into place. Makeup was no longer about me and how I looked; it was about making others feel confident and beautiful in a world that strives to do the opposite. I had finally found my calling.”

“I’m a new mother to my sweet baby Stella Marie. I’m a wife to my amazing husband, Andrew (my high school sweetheart) and a dog mom to Lola May. Wine is a must-have in my house! I’m a lover of coffee, especially Starbucks. If you walk into my house, “Friends” will most likely be on the TV. To be honest, I probably hold the world record for watching “Friends” more than anyone else! I also enjoy traveling and making YouTube videos about makeup and my daily life.”

I can’t wait to meet you!

“Our greatest fear should not be of failure, but of succeeding at something that doesn’t really matter.” -D.L. Moody

Valerie has a passion for beauty and a heart for serving others. A member of the Dream Team at Lifepoint Church in Fredericksburg, VA, she shines through her youth leadership and missionary work. She will be traveling to Nicaragua this fall with their missions team!

Valerie believes, “God needs to be the center of everything, and everything will slowly fall into place. If you don’t take the chance and jump, your parachute will never open, you’ll never be able to glide through the good stuff (Steve Harvey).Taking a leap of faith was the absolute best thing ever. God is good. This is ‘the good stuff.’ ”
